How can you implement your dreams when you have no financial capacity? How is it possible to make progress without financial support? Don’t you think it goes beyond motivation, and money must constantly flow in order to keep going? In this article, answers are provided to your questions, and tips are given on what to do when you truly do not have money to implement your dreams.

Understand the Currencies Available to Implement Your Dreams
In the game of life, money is not the only currency that is available to implement your dreams. The game of life is a broad spectrum of snakes and ladders, and only the smart ones who apply wisdom win. Currency is any means of exchange that symbolises perceived value. Within this context, see currency as what you give or build in exchange for your desired profit.
The currency of an employee is the time he spends in improving the productivity of an organisation. Thus, upon the completion of an agreed task within a period of time, his efficiency is weighed and he gets a financial reward for the work done.
Here is a guide on how to pull through your idea if you experience financial constraint after finding a problem in a solution.

“Dream big dreams! Imagine that you have no limitations and then decide what’s right before you decide what’s possible.” —Brian Tracy
An Unlimited Mindset: Implement Your Dreams
In reality, a visionary is barely aware of the means to actualise his vision. He drafts his ideal life and plans to pitch his tent on a mountain, he tells you that when he gets to the top of the mountain, he will make a rope to ease the climb for others but he is barely aware of how to reach the top of the mountain.
After drafting his mansion on the mountain, he sits to count the cost: the cost to climb the mountain must not make him reduce his taste, rather he must seek ways to ensure he reaches the top at a cost efficient, less risky but persevering means.
Before he aims for the mountain, he has the option of pitching his tent in the valley, while he desires the glory of being on the mountain. He is aware that he will not find it as rosy as the tent builders in the valley, yet he barely has the resources to make it to the mountain, let alone the materials needed to build on the mountain. All he did was imagine there were no limitations.
Be Ready to Pay the Price
No feat is attained by just dreaming, else you will spend your day sleeping. Having chosen this enviable path, there are prices to pay: some are threaded with principles while others demand wisdom, discernment and smartness.

Money is one currency needed to reach your mountain top. With money, you can make purchases of resources to build your climbing skills but what happens when there is a thunder storm and you are mid way into your climb, no money, no water, no food, just you against the storm? This analogy has the blessing of the saying, “Money is not everything.”
When I see young people say that they are unable to implement their dreams or ideas because of lack of finance, I marvel at such a mindset. Do not get it twisted; money is needed to improve the realisation of your idea, but may not be necessary to start.
To Implement Your Dreams, Here’s a Piece of Advice
Before I share some currencies that sell your value faster than the money in your hand, here is a piece of advice to someone who has suspended his climb because he lacks the finance to get the needed resources for climbing. Sometimes, you need to pause your pursuit, toil a similar path, gain complementary knowledge or learn a complementary skill before continuing on your desired path. It is the concept of utilising a means to get to the end.
For instance, you desire to provide free healthcare facilities in your local government, but you are a youth of twenty years who is yet to gain admission into the university; instead of just dreaming and folding your hands, why not try volunteering with organisations that perform a similar task?
Volunteering will help you understand how the systems that provide such a service are built, and the necessities in pulling through with your idea. What happens if you are unable to gain admission to the University to study the highly revered Medicine and Surgery? Opt for a substitute course within the health sector without detering your vision of providing free healthcare to your locality. Sometimes, we dream so big yet limit ourselves by our shortsightedness on the routes to accomplishing those dreams.
Currencies that Will Help Implement Your Dreams
Aside money as a currency, here are other currencies that you must utilise to reach your peak:
1. Time: Dedicate time to learn and grow in your desired field. With the currency of time comes the value of service. Instead of mailing an organisation to partner with your amateur brand, how about you spend time learning from that organisation or applying for an internship. The excellence you exude can be a currency in building relationships within the organisation一relationships that will come through as you climb your mountain.

2. Skills: Develop and refine skills that align with your goals. Instead of just admiring your role model, strive to assess his capacity and identify how your skill can be infused for an increased value within his organisation or for his brand. Nobody loves to be pestered, but with your refined skills, you can rub the shoulders of another for sustained productivity.

3. Networking: Build and nurture relationships with people who can support your vision. Relation is gold, it gives you values that your money cannot afford. When money fails, relationships are your go-to currency. This is the more reason the Nigerian parlance of a substantial relationship is, ‘long legs’. Sometimes, your ability to move past a crowd into an honourable room is engineered by the quality of relationships you have built.
This is a call to leave your room and go out. Attend conferences, seminars etc. Fix yourself within the circumference of like-minded persons.

4. Volunteerism: Gain experience and insights by contributing your time and skills to related causes. When volunteering, you are aware that you were not forced into the engagement, it was a voluntary action. Moreso, there is no expectation that you will be rewarded financially for the service rendered but the good is in how much an improvement will occur during the period of volunteering, the building of your portfolio, and the networks to be built.

Final Notes
Leveraging these currencies gives you significant progress toward achieving your dreams. Most importantly, you do not become a puppet for money. From the foregoing, it is obvious that you are considered as a valuable person and would like to exchange the value you have for relationships to be built.
Which of the currencies mentioned above will you be trying out?

I’m so blessed by this write-up, ma.
Thank you so much.
I’m going to try all the currencies highlighted above without leaving one. 😊
All these points are fantastic, but these two are passion acts as a force that drives goals.
1. NETWORKING
2. BOOTSTRAP AND STARTING SMALL
Leveraging your skills and Networking start by you utilizing the skills and resources you already have. Identify areas where you can offer services or products that don’t require upfront capital. leverage your network for opportunities.Often, people within your network can provide support, whether it’s mentorship, collaboration, or even financial backing.
Bootstrap and Start Small: Now make yourself available, break down your dream into smaller, manageable parts that can be achieved with minimal financial investment. This approach not only helps in managing costs but also in demonstrating your commitment and the viability of your idea.
For instance,my goal is to have an international passport within a short period of time (6 months).
Don’t forget that am a self sponsored student, and the best way for me to achieve my goal is to set a Daily Savings Tacks. This way,I will be able to achieve my goal easily and faster.
Final note: Networking, Bootstrap and Starting Small is highly recommended irrespective of any goals, dreams and plans.
Definitely, starting small is good, but don’t remain small. You’ve got to grow big!
Thank you, and don’t forget to share with others.
I’m glad it blessed you. I’m sure the currencies will work well for you.

Do well to also share with others. Thank you!
This is absolutely worth the read. It is well written and I gained new knowledge.
I love this line of sentence that says, “Sometimes, we dream so big yet limit ourselves by our shortsightedness on the routes to accomplishing those dreams.” That’s so true to a lot of people. Most people suffered from this, and it in turn affect their dreams.
I absolutely agree that Money isn’t the only currency to bring dreams to reality. It is needed, sure, but it is not the only means to achieving dreams. And just as Coach Adeyemo has written in this blog, there are other currency that can help an individual attain his or her dreams. And my favorite one is relationships. Relationships is one currency that is indeed valuable, and like she wrote about having ‘long legs’ in this part of the world we are in, that just said it all about relationships with people. The places that relationship with people can take us, even money cannot. Therefore, the kind of relationship will build can determine a lot. Relationships with people is a currency that is more valuable than money to me and it’s a currency that can buy that which money can not even buy.
In addition, another valuable currency is the volunteering currency. Volunteering is a way or means to rub mind with like-minded individuals, learn from them, improve in skills and knowledge as well as build valuable relationships with others. And it sure can help an individual attain their dreams.
So this two currency are indeed valuable in achieving our dreams aside from money currency.
Well penned, ma’am. It’s definitely worth the read.
I’m glad you found it worthy of read. Thank you for buttressing the points and stating that your favourite is “relationships.”
When we keep valuable relationships, we have an advantage of speed and ease at certain points in life. So, don’t fail to keep valuable relationships, and always remember to keep toxic ones at bay. Thank you!
